Ethiopia is a land of wonder and enchantment, a country with one of the richest histories on the African continent, a land of contrasts and surprises, remote and wild places, and home to cultured and friendly people.

This is the land of the fabled Queen of Sheba, home of the Ark of the Covenant, the birthplace of coffee. 'Lucy: the world's oldest known almost-complete hominid skeleton, more than three million years old, was discovered here.

Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations. Our cultural and natural heritages are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration.

 
UNESCO registered nine Ethiopia's historical and natural attraction as a world heritage sites,   Ethiopia is the leading country by having more registered heritages from Africa.

The heritages include, the Rock Hewn Churches of Lalibela, Gondar castle, Axum obelisks, Tiya monolithic grave marks, Konso Cultural Landscape, Lower Valley of Awash (hadar), Lower Valley of Omo, Semien Mountains National Park and the walled city of harar.

Ethiopia is a mosaic of people with more than 80 languages, different lifestyles, costumes and cultural dances. Ethiopia has been called 'the land of a thousand smiles'. Visit Ethiopia and you can be sure of a great welcome, a memorable holiday, and the experience of a lifetime.

    Lalibela, 642 kilometres from Addis Ababa, is internationally, renowned for its rock-hewn churches which are sometimes called the "Eighth Wonder of the World".

  • The Simien Mountain National Park

    The Simien Mountain is one of the major highlands of Africa, rising to the highest point in Ethiopia, Ras Dejen (4620m), which is the fourth highest peak in the continent.
